A Patient Practice
Do you remember the mentors who guided you?
…the places that shaped you?
…the lessons that moved you?
A Patient Practice is an ongoing project centering intergenerational conversation, play, and study to create a map of remembered lessons in collaboration with my teachers and mentors that I have learned from over the years.

As an interdisciplinary dance artist, I am working with a constellation of mentors and teachers to make a dance, an album, a feast, an archive, a website, a catalogue, an anthology, and a collapsible system of somatic, sound, and movement practices that has been and will continue to be shared around the country in my project, A Patient Practice.
A Patient Practice circles me back to communities, teachers, and organizers that helped build my artistic practice and career. During this expansion of the project, my teachers, mentors, and I will build a system of performance scores that are rooted in an interdisciplinary collage of creative disciplines including dance, embodied sound, garmentry, cooking, and poetry.
